Charlotte is an angsty teenager living in an apartment with her mother Heather, stepfather Ethan and her new baby sibling. They are young family just trying to juggle the everyday challenges of life and make ends meet. While roaming the air ducts in the apartment building, Charlotte comes across a peculiar little spider and decides to keep it as her own secret pet. She soon discovers that this is no average spider – it can mimic sounds, has an insatiable hunger, and grows at an alarming rate. When people start to go missing Charlotte must figure out how to save her family and the rest of the building from a venomous demise. Sting is a thrilling callback to classic creature features with a great blend of humour, camp and gruesome kills while also tugging at your heartstrings.

Press
“The denouement feels like an earthbound, basement homage to 1986’s “Aliens” with Ethan playing Ripley and Charlotte as Newt. The film’s tone feels a little dated, like a television movie from an era when tube TVs existed” – Boston Movie News

“As Sting grows so do our fears. How big will it get? What will happen then? Is anyone safe? The answers are very, a lot, and nope. STING is best seen with a crowd…” – Screen Anarchy
